Spring festival round up

hello we are into spring on the west coast and we have started to see spring and every year i do my festival round up of things to do , so book your plane tickets , fix the van , rent your RV.. its a busy year with bands only making money by touring. fuji rock festival noteable the naked and famous, i don't know i will by tomorrow. glastonbury festival good luck finding the band you want to see , I think every current band of the last 15 years is playing in those 4 days. Sonar and super cool new Sonar japan noteable here would be south african Die Antwood super hyped weird and it seams the only festival with MIA. Coahella festival you will have to sell your first born or maybe your second to get tickets but will worth the effort.sasquatch festival a little more indy band with north west feel and Portland on the way there and back , i think i want to see Reggie Watts.Montreal in the summer Mutek i went to this, in one of the early incarnations and there was a installation that had grass sing to you . lineup tba. The 41-year old producer has cultivated a unique path as an artist, entrepreneur and civic leader, guided by his tendency toward forward thinking.

“My livelihood is making music that I can perform, whether I’m doing orchestral production or modular strangeness or generating club music. I don’t restrict myself,” said Craig. “I defined myself by being who I am. The ultimate self respect is when you say you’re going to do something and you go and do it to the best of your ability.”

Nice Collective Mobile Supply Unit

Pop-up shops are everywhere these days, here one minute and gone the next. Local label Nice Collective is taking it to the next conceptual level and altering vacant storefronts around town into Mobile Supply Units, all set up to be moved within a day. Their first MSU in this great experiment is just off Church & Market Streets.

"It's a crossroads of a lot of different neighborhoods," says Riley Johndonnell, Nice Collective's branding whiz and former publisher and creative director of Surface Magazine. "This was great because no one's really forged themselves in fashion down here. There's skate punks, designers, a mix of all the characters we love."
